Do Not Enter (2026)

I will admit to loving this new sub-genre in horror where horrible things happen to obnoxious influencers. It has been a staple of recent horror, and… I’m here for it. The more horrible the better.

This movie features rival teams of obnoxious YouTubers vying for social media prominence, doing crime and seeking out creepy locations. That horrible things will happen to them is a given, and while the film does its best to distinguish the ‘good’ team from the ‘bad’, I am indifferent to the nuance and simply want horrible things to happen to all of them.

The film mixes survival-horror with livestream gimmickry and adds a creature. Francesca Reale and Adeline Rudolph provide the only watchable elements in a film barely watchable in a literal sense. Most of the scenes are too dark to discern, and the entire palette is shrouded.

Unfortunately the horrible things that happen aren’t horrible enough. It feels a little tame for what it aspires to, and the threat, once unveiled, is goofy. This film promised gore, dread, and the satisfying spectacle of influencers getting what they deserve. Instead it delivers baffling lore, unlikable characters, and no reason to watch.
